An editorial bridal session
This editorial bridal photo shoot was a dream come to life based on the vision of myself and a dear friend and fellow wedding professional, Freckled Fleurs – otherwise known as Megan Peterson – who provided the beautiful bridal bouquets as well as the floral backdrop scene.
Because we both have a soft spot for elegant, romantic, editorial style bridal photography, we brought together a team of likeminded women to convey our vision together. The stunning gowns and bridal accessories are from Charlotte’s, a beautiful bridal shop located in the heart of downtown Ashland, Oregon with their sister shop being located up in Portland. Both makeup looks are courtesy of Grants Pass’ own Brittney Tappan, who owns and operates Southern Oregon Makeup. Our vision for each bride was different; showing her broad spectrum of ability to tailor to brides who desire different levels of glam. And finally, the studio we chose for this shoot is The Loft – a gorgeous natural light studio located in downtown Grants Pass Oregon. All vendors are listed and linked at the end of this post!
My Photography Style
My photography style when it comes to weddings is a combination of editorial and documentary. This means that much of the day I focus on documenting your day as it unfolds – capturing small moments and big, the laughter and tears, decor, heavily focusing on the feel of each moment. But at Kolby Wall Photography, we love style, we love elegance, and we love art. The editorial aspect of my work comes into play during the couple portraits, putting thought and effort into adding my creativity and eye for direction to capture those stunning, magazine-worthy portraits.
